A program is a set of instructions that tells a computer what to do; programming is writing these instructions in a programming language. Python is a high-level, interpreted, easy-to-read language used for web development, data analysis, AI and automation. To set up Python: download it from python.org, run the installer and check 'Add Python to PATH' so Python runs easily from the command line, then use an IDE such as IDLE, PyCharm or VS Code to write code. Comments (starting with #) explain code and are ignored by the interpreter.
